Maarten: Just finished Knal! Een abc van kosmische inslagen by Govert Schilling, a small, informative book about cosmic impacts, near-earth-objects and the somehow reassuring idea that all our problems can be solved by another big asteroid-impact-event… Just about to start Bookshelf by Lydia Pyne, a philosophical history of the bookshelf. A bit too academic, but quite interesting.

Jilles: Stinger by Robert R. McCammon, but then a slightly cheaper – 2nd hand – edition.

Simone: The Golden Egg by Donna Leon and This Must Be the Place by Maggie O’Farrell.  Also, The Secret Diary of Hendrik Groen, 83 ¼ Years Old and Bleachers by John Grisham.

Iris: Currently reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. Dystopian with teeth. 😉

Tom: Fateless by the recently deceased Imre Kertész.  Only just started it, but it looks promising.

Pleun: The Ice Twins by S. K. Tremayne.

Sophie: All About Love by bell hooks and How To Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran.  Both because of Emma Watson’s feminist book club that I’m reading along with this year. The former is badly in need of an update (and an editor!) but has some very good insights. The latter I’ve only just started but I’ve laughed out loud several times already. Unvarnished feminine truths, oh yes!

There are ebooks available for The Golden Egg, Bleachers, The Passage, The Ice Twins, and How To Be A Woman.
