Help Dutch Kids Learn English Early

Do you speak English? In the Amsterdam area, primary schools are investing heavily in dual-language education in the coming years.  At ABC we are ready and very willing to help!  We have partnered up with The Little English Library in Breda, “a free library service for English children’s books for all children (0-16 years) in and around Breda who speak English or who are learning English.”  We want to help bring their excellent initiative to Amsterdam and The Hague.

In our summer news mailing we asked for interested schools and volunteers to help Dutch kids learn English, and many responded.  Leaders and teachers from 6 schools in the Amsterdam area have now confirmed that they’d like to meet you and present themselves on Wednesday September 30th at the ABC Treehouse, Voetboogstraat 11, Amsterdam, just 1 block from the ABC store in Amsterdam.

What to expect:
Introductions will be made and everyone can present themselves briefly. Feel free to bring props/pictures of your hobbies, talents, yourself. A beamer is available for your use but not at all required!

After short presentations about ABC and The Little English Library, there’ll be plenty of time for everyone to get acquainted with each other. Hopefully, matches will be made at this initial Meet Up.  There still space if you’re interested, but please reserve a spot.

Feel free to tell your friends who might also want to volunteer, and tip schools who might want Native English speaking volunteers for their elementary school pupils as well. We are especially looking for schools and volunteers in the The Hague and Hilversum area.
