Good news for readers of great crime fiction: Random House is reprinting some of the old John D. MacDonald thrillers!
Not the Travis McGee series, but many of his stand-alone titles that made him one of the best crime writers in the fifties and sixties and seventies. MacDonald was very productive and wrote until he died in 1986. One of his most famous books is no doubt The Executioners, filmed twice as Cape Fear. Stephen King calls him “The great entertainer of our age, and a mesmerizing storyteller.” Dean Koontz “My favorite novelist of all time!” Kurt Vonnegut has this to say: “To diggers a thousand years from now, the works of John D. MacDonald would be a treasure on the order of the tomb of Tutankhamen.”
Finally, after many years, titles like The Neon Jungle, A Key To The Suite, Dead Low Tide, A Flash Of Green and Condominium are back in print, ready to entertain and delight a whole new generation of crime readers. You can find them in the crime section of our Amsterdam store.
