A Tangled Web of Crime Writers

It’s Thriller Month! (Maand van het Spannende Boek). Last night I was wondering: what do crime authors do when they aren’t writing about death and destruction? Do they have hobbies? Do they go fishing in the weekend, knit a scarf, bake a pie?

The only thing to do was look them up online and find out. To my surprise a lot of authors have amazing websites with great extras. On these websites you can of course read the usual bios, bibliographies and character lists etc. But some authors have some fun extras! I just love Lee Child’s main character Jack Reacher. And besides a bio on Lee Child you’ll also learning everything you ever wanted to know about his 6-foot-5 hero with the dirty blond hair and the ice blue eyes! For instance did you know Jack is a Scorpio and he was born in Berlin?

Harlan Coben uses Twitter! A great way to see what he is up to in the world: Signing books and enjoying his Foi Gras in France! The thing I love about Twitter is that everything is super up to date and regularly updated. (more…)
