The American Book Center and INDIVIDUALS Statement Store present a Gothic & Lolita special event.

Gothic & Lolita is the theme of a flamboyant clothing style,a remarkable phenomenon seen on the streets of Tokyo. These head to toe clothes in Gothic, Roccoco and Victorian style were cultivated in Japan in the late Nineties and have attracted many fans who have devoted their lives to creating extreme variations on this outspoken, bizarre street culture. Phaidon Press has published 270 portraits of these Goths and Lolitas, photographed by Masayuki Yoshinaga who had access to hundreds of these exotic costumed people.
On the occasion of the release of this book, The American Book Center and the designers from the clothing brand INDIVIDUALS from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute will hold an afternoon event dedicated to the release of Gothic & Lolita.
Program:Workshop gothic & lolita wear – a workshop whereby gothic and lolita clothing and accessories will be made,under the supervision of designers from Individuals at AMFI
