Nighthawks will gather in the music venue Melkweg Amsterdam to watch the first verbal clash between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama at the VS2012 All American First Debate-Watching Party. It will be an exciting night with film, food, analysis by campaign and debate experts and, of course, the debate live on a big screen. VS2012 All American First Debate-Watching Party starts on the 3d of October at 11 PM and ends at 4.30 AM the next day. Part of the event will be in Dutch; non-native speakers have the option to join the Party later. Keep an eye on the VS2012 Facebook event page for details on the program and tickets.
The VS2012 events are organized by campaign bureau BKB, the Melkweg and the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam (for pictures of former editions, see their event page). All VS2012 events are leading up to the biggest American elections event in The Netherlands: the President’s Night on the 6th of November & the All American Breakfast on the 7th of November. Former editions were quickly sold out, so be sure to buy a ticket soon. The American Book Center will be there with lots of presidential literature to choose from in the Presidential Bookshelf!
