Madeline Miller has won the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction for The Song of Achilles.
We’re not sure our You Reviewer agrees with that, but hey, it’s all subjective, isn’t it.
The other books/authors nominated were: Half Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan, The Forgotten Waltz by Anne Enright, Painter of Silence by Georgina Harding, Foreign Bodies by Cynthia Ozick, and State of Wonder by Ann Patchett.
