… The Pirates! Band of Misfits. Directed by Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt and starring the voice talent of Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek and Jeremy Piven. Based on two books by Gideon Defoe: The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists and The Pirates! in an Adventure with Whaling (we’ve also seen this one listed as …an Adventure with Ahab and …an Adventure with Moby Dick though).
Pirate Captain (that’s his name) sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. From the brilliant Aardman Studios!

Based on the first part of Janet Evanovich’s very popular Stephanie Plum series (click here for our readalikes!).
