This famous sale* is back!
Due to shipping errors, we double-ordered lots of stock, and have other leftovers from 2010. The warehouse needs its shelves back!
So over two weekends at our two locations, you can load up your suitcase with summer reading or autumn gifts. Just select the books you want, walk up to the scale and pay €5 a kilo!
See you there with wheelie carts and old ABC bags. Bring in a receipt, bookmark or ABC bag from 1990 or earlier to get your picture on our blog and an extra kilo of books as our gift for your long-term loyalty.
Please note that the ABC Discount Card does not give you an additional 10% discount on this particular sale.

*Some of you will recall the famous Sale by Weight events on the 3rd floor of the Kalverstraat store back in the late 80’s.Wasn’t that fun? We did it again in the Voetboogstraat when that was called The Book Bar, where we sold hotdogs and brownies as well. No, we can’t do that again, but those foods are now easily bought all over town. Books offered for sale by weight are still pretty scarce.

Somehow, I don’t think using up entire vouchers is going to be a problem…
JeffW – there are 2 weekends to choose from..
Em – I checked, and yes you can use vouchers. Only, in Amsterdam, at the Treehouse, there will only be a mobile pin and no cash back, so you’ll have to use up the entire voucher. If there are any changes to this situation, I’ll post it here ASAP!
Can someone set aside a couple of kilo’s? I’ll be hiking in Sweden that day!
Have fun all!
Excellent question.. I think so, since an ABC gift voucher = money at ABC, but I will double-check for you.
Sounds fun!
